Program Information:

This program has two program committees. Both the Southern Performance Touring program committee and the Northern Performance Touring Program committee are made up of representatives of community presenters in their regions. The chair of each committee reports to the Manitoba Arts Network Board.

The purpose of this program is to coordinate and develop performance touring in rural and Northern Manitoba.

Terms & Conditions:

All presenters in Manitoba's regions have access to the the services of the Performance Arts Program. Fees for service vary as to whether or not the presenter is a member of the Manitoba Arts Network.

For members of the Manitoba Arts Network in Southern Manitoba, the fee to participate in a block booking is 5% of the performance fee; for a non-member the fee is 7.5%. The fee for members to use the services of the coordinator to assist with the booking of a single performance, is 2.5%.

For members of the Manitoba Arts Network in Northern Manitoba, the fee is a flat $100 per year.

The primary services provided by the coordinator of the Performance Touring Program are:

  • to share information about artists interested in touring in Manitoba with presenters.
  • to act as a liaison between artists/agents and presenters to arrange dates for the block booking of tours.
  • to negotiate and establish block booking fees with the performer.
  • to assist presenters with access to artists' promotional material.
  • to assist performers with information on travel, community contacts and venue addresses.
  • to publish annually a Performance Touring Directory and an updated Manitoba Presenters Directory.
